Last year, you read about how we had to change our trip to Costa Rica last minute. Almost exactly one year later, we are finally making that trip happen.
Rachel approached me last month and said she wanted to do a quiet, easy getaway where we could relax and not have to worry about rushing to see sights or expend our energy on excursions. I had envisioned sitting at a café in Paris or hanging around the east coast.
The more we talked about it, the more we kept hinting at reattempting our Costa Rica trip. I also had 60k+ miles with American Airlines which would cover two RT tickets to Central America. An easy trip to sit and relax now has dreams of ziplining through the rainforest canopy and hiking in cloud forests.
We scrolled back through our cancelled reservations to see if we could rebook some accommodations and found one of the Airbnbs was available. Perfect!
We’ll be flying into Liberia (the smaller airport in the north of the country) and are currently finalizing our route and destinations but expect to start in Monteverde and head west to the Pacific coast beaches.
Thanks for reading our quick update and I look forward to sharing some stories with you!
